Dr. BJ Han is the CEO and co-founder of Silicon Box. As an inventor with over 300 patents, he
addresses the forefront chiplet integration. He was recognized as one of Asia’s Most
Influential by Tatler in the last 2 years. In 2025, he was honored with the Leonardo
International Prize by Italy.
Prior to founding Silicon Box, Dr. Han served as CEO and Chairman of the Board for STATS
ChipPAC. Dr. Han developed widely used semiconductor packaging products like QFN and FBGA.
He has led teams that have won awards for technological breakthroughs in the space by
reducing the cost of testing and time to market across industries, and meeting the
burgeoning demand for greater performance, higher speed, and lower power consumption across
the world’s highest-volume products.
In the prior 14 years, Dr. Han held positions at AT&T Bell Labs, IBM Research, and Anam
Semiconductor (later Amkor). He was a consultant with Bain and holds directorships at
several important semiconductor firms. Dr. Han also served as a director at the Intellectual
Property Office of Singapore and a director for the International Electronics Manufacturing
Initiative.
