Chen Kouxing is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carro, Southeast Asia’s leading
online used-car platform. Since founding the company in 2015, he has led Carro’s rapid
growth, transforming it into a “one-stop” automotive marketplace. To date, the company has
raised over USD 600 million, with investors including SoftBank Vision Fund, Temasek, and
PNB, among other internationally renowned institutions. Under his leadership, Carro has
continuously expanded its business footprint through technological innovation, reshaping the
automotive buying, selling, and financing ecosystem across the region.
During his entrepreneurial journey, Chen Kouxing founded two companies. He also represented
Singapore twice at the WorldSkills Competition (Skills Olympics) and won top honors. He was
later selected as a teaching fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he
taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In addition, he completed executive education
programs at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School. He further pursued advanced
studies through the Summa Cum Laude program at NUS Business School and a dual-degree program
between NUS School of Computing (Information Systems) and Carnegie Mellon University’s
School of Computer Science.
