Senarath DissanayakeHigh Commissioner, High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore

High Commissioner Senarath Dissanayake is a career diplomat with 24 years of experience in the Sri Lanka Foreign Service. Prior to being appointed as High Commissioner to Singapore, he served as the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. He has served in various capacities in the Sri Lanka Foreign service. His appointments in the capital include a secondment at the Presidential Secretariate as Director (Foreign Affairs) in 2018. Overseas, High Commissioner Dissanayake has served as Acting High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Australia from 2020–2021; as Deputy High Commissioner in the Sri Lanka High Commission, Australia in 2019; as Minister in the Sri Lanka High Commission, New Delhi from May 2014 – July 2016 and as Deputy Head of the Post in the Consulate General of Mumbai, India from August 2013 to April 2014. He has also served as Charge d’affaires at the Sri Lanka Embassy in the Netherlands from May 2011 – June 2011; as First Secretary in the Sri Lanka Embassy in Brussels, Belgium from June 2008 to June 2009 and as Second Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Geneva, Switzerland from May 2003 to December 2006.
